Allegations of violent crimes, DUI leveled against Utah man
One Utah man has found himself in a serious predicament after recently being taken into custody. Reports stated that the man has been accused of violent crimes involving his ex-wife. Allegedly, the man broke into the woman’s home before assaulting her. The woman reportedly alerted police that someone was breaking into the residence.
Details about the incident state that, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the man entered the home after using a baseball bat to break in. He then allegedly used the same bat to assault the woman. The man apparently left the scene before police arrived, but they later located a pickup truck at the man’s residence that presumably fit the description of one seen at the woman’s home.
Authorities purportedly found a baseball bat in the truck, and the man’s father reportedly let the officers into the home. The man allegedly left the home and evaded authorities in the pickup truck before crashing into a wall. He was taken into custody and is currently facing charges for aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, criminal mischief, DUI and numerous other allegations.
The Utah man’s case may prove difficult to address due to the multiple charges that he currently faces. Nonetheless, he still has the right to defend against the allegations of violent crimes and other charges, and will certainly want to look into his legal options. Better understanding defense strategies and tactics that could apply to his circumstances may help him make more informed choices and feel more confident as his case proceeds.
