Utah man is currently facing a felony charge after an alleged incident involving his daughter. The allegation is related to child abuse due to his purportedly abandoning her on a college campus. Reports stated that the man had picked up his 5-year-old daughter from her mother’s home and took her to his mother’s residence, where he also lives. Later, the woman found that the man and young girl were gone. The man allegedly took the girl to a college campus and told her to stay there, and then he left the area. She was later found by a security guard when temperatures were near freezing.
The young girl purportedly stated that her father said he was going to look for their lost dog and that he would be watching her. That was apparently not the case. The girl’s mother says the child has been traumatized by the incident. As a result, the man is currently facing a felony charge for child abuse by abandonment. At the time of the report, the man had been released from custody.
