Drug crimes: Utah man charged after search and seizure
A conviction for any type of criminal charge can have a lasting impact on a person’s life. Reports stated authorities received a tip that a considerable amount of marijuana could be located in an apartment. The man living in the apartment was taken into custody, and after apparently obtaining a search warrant, police searched the residence.
During the search, officers allegedly discovered over 100 lbs of marijuana. They also seized $46,750 in cash. As a result of the purported discoveries, the man is currently facing charges for manufacturing a controlled substance and distribution of a controlled substance. Other individuals apparently lived at the same address, but they were supposedly not involved in any alleged criminal activity that took place.
Allegations of drug crimes should be taken seriously. The man involved in this Utah case may already be feeling some of the repercussions of simply being accused of a crime.
