Utah woman may wish to work on criminal defense
A Utah woman was recently taken into custody for allegedly selling drugs from a storage unit. Due to the allegations that have been levied against her, the woman will likely want to create a criminal defense against those charges. In order to do so in a meaningful manner, she may wish to consider gathering information on her legal options.
It was reported that the arrest allegedly took place after authorities had been investigating the woman. They had apparently suspected that she was selling drugs, which led to the investigation. They reportedly found that she was living in a storage unit and was also allegedly selling drugs from that unit. They purportedly obtained a warrant and searched the area. During the search, police allegedly found heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
These items led to the woman being taken into custody. She is currently facing felony charges for drug possession with intent to distribute and a misdemeanor charge for possession of drug paraphernalia. At the time of the report, it had not yet been determined what formal charges could be brought against her. It was reported that the woman allegedly has prior offenses for drug and other violations.
The allegations that the woman currently faces could lead to considerable punishment if she is convicted. Therefore, it is likely that she will want to create a meaningful criminal defense in order to work toward avoiding such an outcome. By gathering information on Utah criminal proceedings as well as consulting with an experienced defense attorney, she may be able to better understand what she may face as her case moves forward.
